Bluemixx, with its base in Sarpsborg, has a repertoire with a strong blues profile, form traditional blues to songs which cross the blues border. And perhaps some "evergreens" from other music styles.

After nearly two years of trying to establish the band, it finally succeeded in the end of 2005. The name Bluemixx was chosen because it describes what the band is playing:

Blue-,   because the basis is blues music.
mix-,     because the band is playing other type of music
The last x is only added for the gimmick.

Bluemixx had the first performance in march 2006, and the band members have experience from a numbers of different bands, and music styles, such as choir, band, ball room band, rock and jazz.

During winter 2010, Jon Petter Hansen joined the band, mainly on harmonica.

Unfortunately, Bjørge left the band after the last concert in 2010, and Reidun left the band after the last gig for the spring 2011. However, Gunnhild Frantzen joined the band autumn 2011.

With a male and a female vocal, harmonica and a skilful guitarist, the band is able to perform the music with big variations, which might do the blues more interesting for the audience.The repertoire is varied, from the soft blues to more heavy…
